Voyageurs National Park Offers New Campfire Program

Voyageurs National Park is now offering a naturalist campfire program
every Thursday, July 2 - August 13 from 7-8 pm at the Rainy Lake
Visitor Center. The campfire program is open to the public, free of
charge and family-friendly. For additional information please call the

The Friends of Voyageurs National Park are sponsoring evening
programs every Friday night during the summer at the historic
Woodenfrog State Forest Campground near Kabetogama Lake from 7-
8 pm. The next program, "Balloon Animals of the Fur Trade", will be
presented Friday, July 3. No fee or registration is required to attend.

Diabetic Testing

There will be diabetic testing on Tuesday, July 7 from 3-6 pm at the
Backus Community Center, 900 5th Street, in International Falls. You
can also have your blood pressure checked. The testing is free and is
sponsored by the International Falls Lions Club and Koochiching
County Public Health.
Mitchel Jon Concert

Mitchel Jon, a well known gospel singer from Nashville, will be in
concert at 7 pm, Wednesday, July 8, at the Evangelical Covenant
Church, 1631 1st Avenue East, in International Falls. Come for a time
of worship, testimony and great music. A free will offering will be

The Bemidji Area Church Musicians announce the 2009 Summer Recital
Series to be held at various churches in the city. The next recital will
be held Wednesday, July 8, 12:00 noon, at the Evangelical Free
Church, 115 Carr Lake Road SW. The Evangelical Free Musicians will
be performing. A free will offering will be received to support music
scholarships. Lunch is available following each recital. For further

afternoon of special singing groups, guest speaker, and a pig roast
